Devi Kund

Devi Kund is the cremation ground of the royal Monarchs of Bikaner and their family members. It is located in the east of Bikaner. The ground is dotted with chhatris (cenotaphs) devoted to the rulers and constructed exactly at the same place where they were cremated. Jet Singh, the great grandson of Rao Bikaji, Maharaja Rao Kalyan Singhji and the last king Maharaja Karni Singhji rest in peace at Devi Kund. The rich architecture of the chhatris clearly shows that they belong to the regal rulers. The chhatri of Maharaja Surat Singh is carved out in white marble and is festooned with beautiful Rajput paintings.
