Taragarh Fort
The fortified walls of Taragarh fort are pierced with several gates. As you walk further you will notice the remarkable Bhim Burj (massive stone tower) the largest of the battlements, on which is mounted a famous cannon named Garbha Gunjan and a huge water reservoir. This reservoir played an important role in meeting the needs of the local people during water crisis in the earlier days. The fort also houses Miran Saheb ki Dargah (tomb) which was built in the honor of a great warrior who fought until his last breath to defend Taragarh Fort when it was attacked by enemies. Another interesting thing about Taragarh Fort are its tunnels which were once the means of escaping from enemies if needed. Rani Mahal is another structure within the complex of Taragarh Fort which was exclusively for the Queens of the Maharajas.
