Wildlife in Rajasthan

The Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks of Rajasthan echo with both familiar and unfamiliar sounds of animals and bird species.


During winter season migratory birds fly to Rajasthan to enjoy the sunny weather. Avian species such as common crane, coots, ducks, pelicans and the rare Siberian cranes, imperial sand grouse, falcons and buzzards resides in the lap of nature in forests. Some of the rare species of tigers, blackbucks, chinkara, the desert fox, the endangered the great Indian Bustard, gavial, monitor lizard, wild boars, porcupine are also found here.
