Prachina Museum

Prachina Museum is located in the fascinating Junagarh Fort. It was the fruitful result of the great initiative taken by the daughter of Maharaja Narendra Singhji of Bikaner, Rajasthan. The museum displays the forgotten but not lost imperial crafts and traditions of the erstwhile Maharajas of Bikaner.

Prachina Museum is the perfect place to see the breathtaking royal costumes, textiles and accessories whose beauty is simply unparalleled. These accessories were once used by the royal family for performing various rituals they followed. It also displays the elegant portraits of the then Monarchs. These portraits clearly show the differences in the dressing styles followed by the respective monarchs ranging from traditional Indian to European.
