GuruShikhar

GuruShikhar Mount AbuMount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan and is the highest peak of the Aravalli Range of the Thar Desert. Located in the Sirohi district, the towering Mount Abu is 1220 m in height. Popularly known as Teacher’s Pinnacle, Gurushikhar is the highest peak of the mountain with the height of 1722 m above sea level. The peak offers a picturesque view of Mount Abu and its surroundings. The beautiful temple of Dattatreya, believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu is housed on this peak.


Nakki Lake


Created artificially at the height of 1200 m above sea level, Nakki Lake is one of the most important and famous destinations of Mount Abu. The azure waters of the lake surrounded by wooded hills are a sight to behold. The meaning of 'Nakki' is fingernails and it is believed that the God himself dug this lake with his nails. The lake is considered holy by some of the tribes inhabiting in the surrounding region. Boat riding facility available at the lake adds thrill to the visit.


Toad Rock


Toad Rock really rocks! It is a giant rock in the form of a toad. It is located on a hill in close vicinity of the Nakki Lake. After enjoying the picturesque view at the lake, climb the hill to see the creativity of nature in the form of a rock. It seems as if the toad rock is all set to jump into the lake.


Sunset Point


Sunset Point is the perfect place in Mount Abu to cherish the breathtaking view of sunset. It shows nature at its best. The surroundings serve tranquility and fill your heart with peace. Here you can even munch on the delicious refreshments available at the stalls. And the good news for your kids is a pleasurable pony ride at the Sunset point.


Other attractions near the Nakki Lake are Raghunath Temple and Maharaja Jaipur Palace located on the same hill.
