Jaipur Festival, jaipur Fairs and festivals are an integral part of the lives of the people of the Pink City. The festive season gives a whole new meaning to the persona of Jaipur. Jaipur Heritage International Festival is essentially a literature festival initiated by Jaipur Virasat Foundation. Celebrated every year in the month of January, it is held in the beautiful ambiance of the Hall of Audience and gardens of the Diggi Palace Hotel which is located in the center of the city.

Celebrated over a period of two weeks, Jaipur Heritage International Festival is the biggest literary festival in India. In 2007, the festival was marked by the presence of several known authors such as Salman Rushdie, Kiran Desai, Suketu Mehta, Shashi Despande, and William Dalrymple. Apart from catering to your intellectual side, its list of events also includes brilliant entertaining performances. Celebrated performers like Anoushka Shankar perform here. There is no entry fee for attending any of the events in the festival. While touring Jaipur do not miss this great opportunity which comes for free!
