Jag Mandir

Jag Mandir, KotaJag Mandir is an alluring palace resting peacefully on a small island in the middle of the Kishore Sagar, an artificial tank. It was built in 1740 by one of the Queens of Kota. It is finely carved out in red sandstone. It is said that once Shah Jahan took refuge in this palace while rebelling against his father.

Jag Mandir boasts of a heavenly garden which imparts a sense of harmony. Once you are done with strolling inside the fort, its time to catch up with exciting boat rides on the bluish waters surrounding Jag Mandir. Sailing through the waters with beautiful scenery as the background is simply a great experience.

In the close vicinity of Jag Mandir lies the City Palace and RTDC Hotel Chambal. You must also visit nearby Kesar Bagh which is famous for its regal cenotaphs.
