The mesmerizing idea of making Palace On Wheels a holiday destination materialized with its first inaugural trip on 26th January, 1982.


This heritage train proceeds every Wednesday from the eye-popping Delhi covering pink city Jaipur, the golden bastion Jaisalmer, the beautiful Jodhpur, the National Park Ranthambhor, the brave Chittorgarh, city of Lakes and Palaces Udaipur, the birds paradise Bharatpur sanctuary and the stunning Agra and finally is back to Delhi. It offers an 8 days and 7 nights' tour. Here every little need of the traveler is taken care of, starting from dining to accommodation, shopping and sightseeing. All you need to do is enjoy!


The Palace Of Wheels encompasses bedrooms, dining rooms, libraries, lounges and formal drawing rooms with all the facilities needed. Beauty saloons, luggage collection, mineral water, mailbox facility and laundry services are the other facilities provided on board. The kitchen serves Continental, traditional Rajasthani, Indian, and Chinese cuisines. Turban-wearing attendants or 'Khidmatgars' are always there at your service.


It has a well stocked bar that offers a wide variety of scotches, wines and cocktails of Indian and international brands.


'The Bazaar' is an amazing gift shop on board the Palace on Wheels where you can shop for beautiful handicrafts and other gift items.


Several music and dance programs are also organized in the train for entertainment of the travelers. Guests are accorded a warm reception when they arrive at Delhi and Jaipur. Puppet shows touching various themes and live performances of Rajasthani folk dances such as Ghoomar, Chari Dance, Fire Dance, Terah Thali, Kachhi Godhi, Kalbelia, Agni Nritya by extremely talented artists add more fun to the journey.
