Rohetgarh

Rohetgarh Fort, Rohetgarh'Evergreen Oasis in the Desert' is the title conferred on the fortified Rahetgarh of Rajasthan. It was once the residence of the 16th century Rathores of the Champawat clan. This semi-arid destination is located only 40 km from Jodhpur. Travel to this less explored destination and get acquainted with the colorful culture which is an integral part of the lives of the people of Rohetgarh. Their costumes are extremely beautiful and can really be an inspiration for the modern fashion designers. The artists of Rohetgarh are truly endowed with great talent of creating incredible handicrafts.


Rohetgarh reflects the real picture of a typical village. The people here are very humble and live peacefully with each other. No doubt you will be received with a very warm welcome. The place is inhabited by several communities which celebrate several festivals with great passion.


Rohetgarh Fort is a symbol of bravery and royalty. Once the residence of the Rathores, now the fort has been converted into a heritage hotel providing modern facilities to its tourists. It is located on the bank of a lake which attracts many avian species. The architecture of the fort is of the Rajput style.


In Rohetgarh you can choose from a variety of safaris such as jeep safaris, horse safaris and bird sighting tours. Wildlife can also be sighted here.
