Maharana Pratap Memorial

Maharana Pratap Memorial is a great monument in Udaipur steeped in regal history. It is a beautiful bronze statue of Maharana Pratap mounted on his extraordinary white horse Chetak. The monument is perched on Moti Magri (Pearl Mount) on the serene banks of Fateh Sagar Lake.

Maharana Pratap Memorial was built in the memory of Maharana Pratap who was a ruler of Mewar. Local people still show deep respect towards him by visiting the monument. It is said that Maharana Pratap was very close to his horse Chetak. The horse was extremely intelligent, brave and loyal. During the battle of Haldighati, the horse gave his life for his master.
